INTENDED USE.
MESOPEEL MD PHEN TCA is a chemical exfoliant OR CUTaneous PEELING indicated for patients over the age of 18 years who may benefit from the use of skin exfoliation treatments for prevention and the treatment and alleviation of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation disorders, melasma, lentigo and ephelides, as well as acne scars, hyperkeratosis and stretch marks. It also helps combat moderate to severe grade III-IV skin aging according to Glogau’s classification (advanced photoaging, deep wrinkles, loss of skin density).
MELANOSTOP PHEN TCA is recommended for phototypes I to IV according to the Fitzpatrick classification. The health care provider will consider applying the peel to phototypes V and VI.
USAGE PROTOCOL
Contact lenses must be removed before treatment. Ask the patient to close his or her eyes throughout the procedure.
The layer should be monitored from the beginning of application until washing.
- Clean the skin with a cleanser, using a tissue or cotton ball.
- Degrease the skin with an alcohol solution by rubbing lightly with gauze.
- Protect delicate areas with Vaseline: inner and outer corner of the eye corner of the nose, corner of the mouth and labial mucosa, earlobes.
- It is recommended to cover the eyes with gauze.
- Apply MESOPEEL MD Phen TCA evenly all over the face, without rubbing, with a solution-soaked brush. Start with the strongest areas such as the forehead, then continue with the cheeks, chin, peri-labial area, and nose. Trichloroacetic acid causes a gradual but rapid denaturation of skin proteins. This process called
frosting , is observed by the appearance of white patina on the skin. Normally frosting appears after application of a layer ofMESOPEEL MD Phen TCA . The subject may experience a slight tingling or itching sensation. Ventilation is recommended to relieve this sensation. Under no circumstances should treatment be continued if the user experiences severe discomfort. It is recommended that a single layer of Phen TCA be applied. Application of multiple layers can have a profound chemo-exfoliation effect (papillary dermis/reticular dermis). A maximum of 2ml of product per layer is recommended. Rubbing and applying pressure to the area may increase the depth of the layer. MESOPEEL MD Phen TCA does not involve neutralization. - After the appearance of the patina or after 5 minutes wipe the area with wet gauze. A soothing restorative mask is recommended to soothe and restore the hydrolipid layer of skin in the treated area. Leave the mask on for 10 to 20 minutes then remove it.
- To promote tissue re-epithelialization, massage gently with a soothing and healing balm until fully absorbed.
- To conclude the treatment, apply the most suitable sunscreen for your skin type with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50+) to prevent the harmful effects of UV radiation.
-
phenTCA is an intensive anti-aging peel designed for moderate to severe skin aging: loss of density, medium to deep wrinkles, sagging skin, signs of photoaging.
-
It is also indicated for significant dyschromia, age-related or photo-aging spots, deep acne scars, uneven texture, and signs of chronic skin damage.
-
It works as a “medium-deep/deep” medical peel, with important restructuring and regenerative capacity: useful when a structural effect is needed, not just a superficial one.
In summary: phenTCA is designed for an audience with advanced skin rejuvenation and remodeling needs, not for simple brightening or surface texture enhancements.
Mechanism of action: how it works
The formula of phenTCA involves a combination of chemical agents with high exfoliating and regenerative capacity, including:
-
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) 35%: Depending on the concentration, a peel with TCA removes epidermal layers and can reach part of the dermis, stimulating cell turnover and the production of collagen and dermal fibers.
-
Phenol 10%: Phenol is a more aggressive exfoliating/chemo-ablative agent capable of deep penetration, ideal for deep wrinkles, loss of firmness and severe aging damage.
-
Regenerating supports (caffeic acid, shikimic acid, arginine, “MD complex”): present in the formula to modulate effect, promote regeneration, stimulate tissue repair and minimize collateral damage
Expected tissue effects
-
Deep chemical exfoliation: controlled removal of epidermis and part of the superficial/medial dermis, removal of damaged or inhomogeneous cells.
-
Dermal restructuring: stimulation of new collagen and elastin production, improved skin density, firmness and tone.
-
Uniforming of tone and reduction of deep dyschromia: due to the combined action of TCA + phenol + regenerating media.
-
Reduction of medium to deep wrinkles, loss of density, sagging skin, marked acne scars.
-
Operational aspects, precautions and directions for use
-
phenTCA is a professional treatment reserved for dermatologists or medical aestheticians. Given the depth and potency of the peel, the procedure requires experience, skin preparation, and strict supervision.
-
The peel is medium-deep/deep: it involves significant down-time compared to superficial peels. The skin may go through phases of peeling, redness, regeneration. This makes strict follow-up and adequate sun protection essential.
-
Preferred indications: severe photoaging, pronounced wrinkles, loss of skin density, deep acne scars, difficult dyschromia, skin with visible structural marks.
-
Not ideal for all patients or all phototypes: one must carefully evaluate skin, medical history, sensitivity, sun exposure, recovery expectations.
COURSE OF TREATMENT
Only 1 single-session treatment is recommended. Perform a maximum of 2 sessions per year.
HOME TREATMENT
PRE PEELING PREPARATION
About ten days before treatment, apply a layer of PHEN TCA to a small area behind the ear with gauze, without rubbing. Perform the treatment after this period only if the patient does not have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in the area where the test was performed.
POST PEELING TREATMENT
- During the desquamation process, apply a balm with a calming and healing effect at least twice a day, morning and evening.
- If scabs or intense peeling is present, apply vaseline at least twice a day or as often as necessary.
- It is necessary to use the most suitable sunscreen for the skin type with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50+). Apply sunscreen every two hours (minimum 4 times a day). Maintain application as a usual photoprotection practice after finishing treatment.
